High-Stakes Confrontations.**
This three-day Instructor Development course is built for trainers who already carry responsibility for other people’s safety. It gives you a teachable framework for preparing staff and officers to function under pressure, not just perform techniques in calm conditions. Across three days we build in layers:
The 9 Attitudes as the organising framework for personal safety and incident resolution (before, during, and after physical collision).
High-Risk Control Tactics built on top of that foundation, with a clear emphasis that Control is a Resolution Attitude and must be earned through the engagement phase, not wished into existence.
Edged Weapon Protection for the rare, extreme situations where the risk profile changes and “tidy” assumptions collapse. This is approached honestly, with survivability, decision-making, and training safety as the priority.
The aim is simple: build instructors who can coach judgement and run realistic training that still works under pressure.
“A high stakes confrontation is one where the assailant is motivated, capable and endurant, requiring efficient and effective tactics to reach resolution.”
